Board games are more popular than ever; over the last 10 years board game sales have been rising 10 to 20 percent per year. In my research, I've explored the relationship between media products and the board games that are based on them ("paratextual board games"), and in this talk, I'll look at some of the ways that these board games slip into our contemporary media environment.
